Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Leftovers? What leftovers?
Steak bites!!! YUM. Are you a fan?
Growing up, one of the most-requested meals at my house was steak bites.
Seriously. My sister and I gobbled those things up.
It's a quick meal, doesn't break the bank, and the leftovers (if you have any!) keep super well.
Recipe
Ingredients:
Sirloin Steak, cubed and fat trimmed away - 1 lb
Butter - 3 tbsp
Garlic, minced - 4 cloves
Salt - to taste
Pepper - to taste
Directions:
Place your steak bites in a bowl with the salt and pepper, toss to coat with the salt and pepper.
Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over high heat.
Once your skillet is HOT, place the steak bites in the pan in a single layer.
Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Reduce your heat to medium and add the remaining butter and the garlic to the skillet. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, mixing so that the steak bites are covered in the garlic-butter mixture.
Serve! This is great with mashed potatoes, rice, steamed veggies...pretty much anything!
Notes
1) Steak Cut - My go-to cut for steak bites is a sirloin steak. It's economical, flavorful, and tender, making it perfect for steak bites. You could also use a strip steak or a tenderloin, but these will likely cost you more. Look for a cut with little marbling in it, as you want to stay away from too much fat in your steak bites.
2) Depending on the size of your skillet, you may need to do Steps 3 & 4 in batches.
3) Go wild with the recipe - we often add in bell peppers and onions with the garlic as well. Delish!
